“ An update as it's been a while. L O C A T I O N Anh Hong Saigon is located in a plaza off of Calaveras Blvd with the Paris Baguette and Grocery Outlet. The parking situation here can be very difficult as there are a few popular restaurants so coming on the weekends and/or peak lunch times can be a struggle. I N S I D E It's fairly standard inside. It hasn't seemed to change over the years. A few larger tables for larger groups and smaller ones of course for smaller groups. M E N U The menu hasn't really changed and of course do not expect to get pho here. This is not a pho place. We had a group of 5 people and ordered the 7 styles of beef as well as the sugar cane shrimp (chao tom banh hoi), banh xeo. I feel like the 7 styles of beef is still the same. A lot of food so you can always do the minimum 2 servings and get other food which is what we got. The shrimp on a sugar cane was good. Fun to chew the sugar cane. The banh xeo was too crispy and quite oily. I think after having garlic sensitivities, it was a very different experience this time with the 7 styles of beef. We still liked the sausages for sure. But I think I appreciated the beef porridge more than the others. I took the rest home. S E R V I C E It wasn't too bad actually considering it was the weekend. It wasn't packed. There were still tables open. We got all our orders in a timely manner. Easily paid by card. O V E R A L L Anh Hong isn't a place we frequently go to. It's a once in a while, celebratory type of place where you can enjoy some of your standard Vietnamese dishes and of course the only place we've found that has this 7 styles of beef. So we'll be back again one day! ”

“ This is a long overdue review. Anh Hong Saigon has been here in the Calaveras Plaza Shopping Center for years. They are close to Paris Baguette, Tofu House, Grocery Outlet, etc. They specialize in a seven-course specialty beef experience. Plenty of parking spots available in this large plaza. They used to post a note on the front door. "They do not serve Pho!" The dishes were delicious and was a great casual dining experience. It opened up my Vietnamese food experience. 1. House Beef Salad. 2. Beef in Wine Vinegar Fondue. Interesting flavor, but i did like it. 3. Steamed Beef Patty. 4. Grilled Beef Sausages. Flavorful 5. Beef wrapped in Loc Leaf. 6. Beef Roll with Onions and Lemongrass. I was familiar with this dish as I had it before at other restaurants. I liked the tender beef but dipped it in the nuoc cham. 7. Beef Porridge. I am not a big porridge fan in general. Support your local business. ”

“ Valentines Day with a party of 12 they do not take reservations, it's first come first serve, 6pm ish & lucky enough, we were seated within 30mins Winning Located in a shopping plaza, with a lot of other restaurants & stores, Yes there is plenty of parking but, Good Luck on finding one near where ever your wanting to go, if you have to park & walk, than park and walk, you'll be OK. Authentic Vietnamese food, lots of flavor & yummy! you'll need patience & actually put in work in order to enjoy the meal. Everyone working, is very helpful & friendly, if you have any questions about the menu. A great experience if you've never been & I know for sure, this is not a place for kids, because you trying to fix their food & yours (nope) I'm trynna enjoy my meal unless you have the patience, than you'll also be good. I will definitely try the other dishes on the menu or any other restaurant like this. ”

“ This is one of my new favorite places. This Vietnamese restaurant does not have pho as indicated by multiple signs. Instead, many of their dishes are designed to be wrapped in a spring roll wrapper. I had a taste of the Crepe, which is not designed to be wrapped, and the Gà Nướng Bánh Hỏi and the Tôm Thịt Nướng Bánh Hỏi which were. Both wearable items were flavorful. The crepe was a good size and had a crusty texture. The service was very responsive and fast. And the ambiance was fitting. ”

“ A busy, popular location! I would say most come here for the Seven Courses of Beef Meal. I came here with my family and I would recommend getting a reservation if you can. The wait can be very long especially on weekends! Once we made it inside, there were just so many big parties and the aroma of food just hits you. The menu is pretty vast, but has a good amount of options to choose from! It's not overwhelming like other Vietnamese restaurants. My family and I came here to get the Seven Courses of Beef and believe me when I tell you that it is worth every penny! We honestly ordered too much, but every course we picked was so good! Don't worry about not knowing how to wrap, because the staff is more than happy to explain how to do it. I loved the experience of making my own rolls, the amount of veggies I can put, the meat, etc. the meats were so good and juicy, the veggies were fresh, and the quality overall was just amazing! I love that you can get refills on the veggies because I definitely had to get a few plates. My wrapping skills def. got better with each one I made. Haha. Overall, the vibes were great, the staff is friendly and attentive, it's clean inside, and the food quality is so good! My family and I are definitely coming back and bringing any of our out of town guests here! Highly recommend this place & definitely recommend going with a group! “ Where's the beef?! They got it here. Enjoy 7 courses of delicious beef served in several ways. Prepare to get your hands ready to wrap your food with tapioca wraps/Banh Trang with pickled carrots, bean sprouts, fresh cucumbers and dip into fish sauce/Nuoc Mam. My group enjoyed and had a great experience here. Service was top-notch and attentive. 1. Goi Bo - Beef salad 2. Bo Nhung Dam - beef fondue 3. Bo Cha Dum - seasoned beef patty 4. Bo Cuon Mo Chai - grilled beef sausage 5. Bo Cuon La Lot - grilled beef wrapped in Piper Sarmentosum/Betel leaves (leaves with a subtle unique peppery taste) 6. Bo Nuong Xa - Beef roll with onions and lemon grass 7. Chao Bo - Beef porridge. You will leave full and happy. I ate here for lunch and was still too full til the next day. ”

“ I've been to Anh Hong in Milpitas at least a handful of times over the years. I would argue that the food isn't as good as the original Anh Hong in San Jose -- I can't seem to pinpoint the main differences but I can tell only because I grew up eating at the SJ location. For sure, the dipping sauces are much more diluted at this restaurant. Anyway, it felt like 150 degrees outside so we wanted to have dinner that included lots of fresh vegetables and herbs so spring rolls came to mind. Upon walking in, we were seated immediately and ordered their standard '7 course beef' meal for two. Each course came out promptly one after another as we kept rolling our spring rolls the entire time. I probably ate a minimum of ten spring rolls jam packing them with lettuce, herbs, cilantro, cucumber, and pickled carrots and daikon -- so refreshing and crunchy with every bite! I'm adding an extra star because the service is much better at this location compared to Anh Hong San Jose. Our two servers had great humor and maintained fantastic hospitality even though there was a full house by the tail end of our meal. With gratuity, it was about $100 for the two of us which isn't entirely bad considering prices these days. We didn't finish all the food so packed about half of it to-go to enjoy for lunch the next day. Support local small businesses y'all -- they survive and thrive through our patronage. ”

“ This restaurant is quite unique in what they offer and quite an experience. My group and I tried the 7 types of beef meal set and it was quite experiential. The cost is per person for this is about $38 before tax/tip. Each dish that came was unique. The hotpot part was delicious. The whole meal is taking the different forms of beef and wrapping it in rice paper and adding some vegetables to it. It's refreshing. It is quite a lot of food. Having the porridge to end the meal was refreshing and calming. Definitely would recommend this for groups and for trying new experiences. ”
